I am proud to provide consumers with an unmet need in their hair maintenance journey. I’ve dubbed these products “hairwear” because they can be worn stylishly as if part of your outfit.

The exclusive construction is multipurpose, locking in moisture while sleeping and during vigorous activities, including exercise. The designs are so versatile they can be worn outdoors and in public areas unabashedly. Made of stretch satin fabric, the products give maximum comfort and will last longer while moving effortlessly with your hair.

APRIL'S STORY

I began developing Mertese products in 2021. When the world shut down from COVID-19, I, like many others, had to learn to care for my hair for the first time. After months of practice, I was able to achieve salon-quality. But the market was lacking in high-quality, attractive, versatile hair wraps and accessories. This inspired me to create functional, stylish, and comfortable products I couldn't find for myself.

"Mertese" holds special significance for me. It is my middle name and a namesake for my father, Merton. Just like my designs, the name is unique and dynamic, embodying the essence of the brand. Mertese is not just a label—it represents my journey of self-discovery and empowerment, as I aim to provide products that help to empower others.
